About Us

Vicki Allison established ClearSolutionsHR, her own compensation consulting firm, in 1998. Her clients include primarily premier financial services companies who participate in her nationally recognized actuarial salary surveys. Since that time, she has helped many companies to develop effective competitive rewards tools that drive a company’s mission and values.

Vicki has developed a unique understanding of actuarial skills and credentials, from her extensive background as a Compensation Practitioner supporting these roles at several Fortune 500 companies. She is called on extensively to provide insight into pay philosophy, positioning, and practices for this mission-critical employee population within insurance companies.

Her company also supports small to medium-sized companies in various industries, outside of financial services. These include public-sector firms, foundations, hospitals, state agencies, trade associations, universities, as well as manufacturing, retail, banking, construction, technology and scientific organizations.

She also contributes to publications on compensation issues, and co-authored a Business & Legal Reports publication, “How to Develop an Effective Pay Program”. She also authored a subscription series of case studies and other hands-on approaches for developing reward and incentive programs for the mid-market. She has lectured at the Center for Organizational Effectiveness on variable pay program design, and at The University of Hartford Management School, Quinnipiac MBA Program, and presented at various other rewards and productivity symposia.

She holds a BA from Skidmore College and a Master’s degree in Training and Education from Boston University.
